As the end of the year draws near, we provide further information regarding The Law Society of Upper Canada’s name change to the Law Society of Ontario and how this impacts you.
Starting January 1, 2018 we will start using the name the Law Society of Ontario. We will update our existing logo with the new name, which will appear on documentation and online materials. You will also be able to use the website address www.lso.ca.
The new name will be phased-in over a 12-month period. During this transition period, both names will continue to be used. The Law Society of Upper Canada will be carrying on business as the Law Society of Ontario until the Law Society Act has been amended.
